Bombora Wavelodge offers a range of rooms, from their standard room through to the Beach Front Ocean Suite, which has ocean views.

However if you want to go all out then check out The Residence – a private top floor villa, including 2 bedrooms, huge kitchen/living room area and it’s own private balcony swimming pool which perfect overlooks Medewi surf break.

It doesn’t get much more epic than that!

Grab a bite to eat at their in house restaurant and pool area which both overlook the waves and is the perfect spot for a sunset cocktail.

2. Uluwatu Surf Villas, Uluwatu

If you’re serious about hitting up some of the best waves in Bali and want to kick back after a hard day in the waves in rustic, Bali luxury then Uluwatu Surf Villas is going to tick all the boxes.

Although the waves in this area aren’t quite at the same calibre of spots like Uluwatu and Keramas every level of surfer is well catered for – and those looking to learn to surf or push their skills can also join the in house surf coaches for some lessons.

4. Hotel Komune, Keramas

Once home of the Bali WSL Tour stop (but bumped off in 2020 in favour of G-Land) Hotel Komune sits right in front of Keramas surf break – a reeling, barrelling right hander  that peels beautiful along the black volcanic sands.

The main attraction at Hotel Komune (apart from the surf of course!) is the beachfront infinity pool and bar – the prime spot for watching the waves with a cold Bintang or cocktail in hand.

…although you might find yourself dashing off when the swell picks up or nabbing one of those moments when no ones out, so make sure you keep your board handy!

With a couple of in house restaurants to choose from, or simply grab a morning surf check coffee at Hotel Komune also has heaps of other facilities too – from gym and wedding venue through to the fruit bowl, their own old school skate bowl!

Honestly I can’t think of many better places to watch the sunset into the ocean, behind world class waves than that pool!

And with this location you also have access to all the warungs and restaurants around the Uluwatu area, as well as the in house restaurant and cafe at Blue Point Bay Villas.

When it comes to rooms there is a good selection for all budgets – ranging from standard double rooms all the way up to the Deluxe Suite with Sea View.

9. Mick’s Place, Bingin Beach

For that more intimate, personal touch Mick’s Place – overlooking Bingin Beach – is hard to beat.

Whilst not as famous as neighbouring Uluwatu the lefts at Bingin Beach are pretty freaking epic and you’d be hard pushed to find a surfer who wouldn’t drool at waking up to ruler drawn lines in the morning.

10. La Joya Biu-Biu, Balangan Beach

So La Joya Biu-Biu is a bit of a cheat entry into this list as they offer not 1 but 2 resort options down at the stunning Balangan Beach!

Another option in the hotspot of Canggu – Anginsepoi sit towards Perenan, overlooking the less crowded breaks of the area.
